Last weekend we began the finishing touches on the baby's room. We have finished all the painting, the floor is in and we have even put together the crib. The room is finally starting to look like a nursery and I am so excited to show you all the photos!
The finished room!
The rocking chair
The finished dresser!
The changing table baskets
More of the dresser
The mobile
Sadie & Tucker's new favorite spot!
With only 6 weeks to go we are starting to finally feel like we are "ready" for her arrival now that the room is almost completed. I am 34 weeks pregnant and here is my update:
How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
This weekend we are having Tommy's 8th birthday party. I still can't believe that he is going to be 8 years old. The time goes by way too quickly. Today I get to meet with his teacher to find out how he is adjusting to second grade and I am hoping for a great report! Tomorrow I am off to the doctors to have my 2 week check-up... Friday is "Black Friday" and I am thinking about going shopping this year... With Tommy's birthday this weekend we might be able to get some great deals on gifts so I am pretty excited!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families and a great long weekend!
xoxo,
Jenn, Tim, Tommy and BG Wheeler!
